    Soffit and fascia repair

    The roof edge, fixed right.

Molsbee Roofing repairs and replaces soffit and fascia across Palm Beach County: the boards along the roof edge and the panels under the eaves. We replace rotted or storm-damaged boards on their own or along with your roof work.

Soffit and fascia take the worst of the wind and the summer storms. When they rot or come loose, the roof edge is open to water and animals. While we are there, we check the vents and the roof edge above them, take photos and put the price in writing before any work starts.

    Why it matters

Good to know about soffit and fascia.

    • An open edge lets things in

Rotted fascia and torn soffit leave the roof edge open to rain and to animals looking for a way into the attic.

    • Soffits help the attic breathe

Air comes in at the soffit and leaves at the ridge vent. Blocked or damaged soffit panels change how the attic vents.

    • Rot often points to a leak

Wood at the roof edge rarely rots on its own. We find where the water came from, so the new boards do not go the same way.

    • Priced in writing

You get photos and a written price before we start, like any other repair.

    Soffit and fascia, explained

    Frequently asked questions.

Can you fix soffit and fascia without replacing the roof?

Yes. Soffit and fascia work can be done on its own. If the roof above it also needs work, we tell you and price that separately.

    Why does fascia rot?

Water. Fascia sits right at the roof edge, and when water gets behind it from a worn drip edge or a leak above, the wood stays wet and softens. Near the coast, salt adds to it. We find the source so the new boards last.

What happens if I leave damaged soffit alone?

The eave stays open. Rain and wind get in, and animals use the gap to get into the attic. A small repair now is easier than the damage later.

Do you match the look of my house?

Yes. We finish the new boards and panels to match the house as closely as we can, and we show you the finished work before we leave.

How much does soffit and fascia repair cost?

It depends on how much is damaged and what is behind it. The inspection is free, and you get photos and the price in writing before we start.
