The Juno Beach repair: rusted metal out, stainless in
A leak repair on a Juno Beach tile roof is a metal job. The rusted galvanized valley liner comes out and stainless or copper goes in. Flaking drip edge is stripped and renewed the length of the eave. Corroded cap nails are pulled and the hip and ridge caps reset on stainless screws. Chimney and wall flashings are rebuilt. The tile around the work is lifted, saved and relaid so the street sees no patch. Sealant smeared over rust is not a repair and it is not what we do, because two blocks from the ocean it fails by the next season.
