What happens at your friend's roof
We call your friend, say who sent us, and book a free roof inspection. A Molsbee roofer goes over the edges, valleys, flashings, vent and pipe collars and the covering itself, and looks at the ceilings and attic where he can. He photographs what he finds, and those photos go to your friend.
Then comes a written scope with the price, before any work starts. It lists the tear-off, underlayment, new covering, flashings, permit and clean-up. Rotten decking under an old roof cannot be seen until tear-off, so if we find it, your friend sees the photos and approves that repair in writing first.
What your friend ends up with
A roof permitted with their city or the county and passed by the inspector. The manufacturers' product warranties in writing. A roof certification letter for their insurer if they ask for one. On a clay barrel tile roof, we can often lift the tile, replace the underlayment beneath it and reset the same tile.
