Jupiter Farms · Roof leak repair
Roofing in Jupiter Farms since 1975.
Jupiter Farms is acreage under trees, and both of those change a roof call. The trees are the immediate factor.
Pine and oak over these lots shed all year and drop limbs in weather, so the two most common problems here have nothing to do with a covering wearing out. The first is drainage: a valley packed with needles or an outlet on a porch or carport stopped with litter backs water up above the blockage until it reaches a lap that was never meant to be underwater, and a leak arrives on a roof where nothing has broken.
The second is impact: a limb comes down, gets cleared away the next morning, and leaves a cracked tile or a bruised patch as the only visible record while the layer beneath may be torn. The acreage is the other factor and it is practical rather than technical.
A property here usually carries more than one roof, the drive is long, and a contractor is not passing on his way to somewhere else. That means it is worth having everything looked at in one visit rather than paying for a second trip, and it means we plan a call out here rather than squeezing it in and missing it.
A roofer clears and tests the drainage first, then works back from the water, photographs the entry point and prices the repair in writing. The inspection is free either way, the photographs are yours, and where a roof needs nothing that is what the report says.

Good to know
What to know.
- The leak where nothing has broken
This is the commonest call from these lots. A valley packed with needles or a blocked outlet holds water above the blockage until it finds a lap, and every piece of covering is intact while the water is entirely real. Clearing and testing the drainage resolves it, and under this much planting it needs doing more than once a year rather than annually. It is the cheapest work anybody will ever do to a roof out here.
- What the limb left behind
A branch that has come down and been cleared away leaves a cracked tile or a bruised patch of shingle as the only record. That is the visible fraction. Impact travels through the covering into the layer beneath, which can be split or punched with nothing showing once a replacement piece is fitted. Anywhere something landed, the surrounding covering is lifted and the layer below examined and photographed before anything is closed.
- One visit, every roof on the property
House, barn, workshop, equipment store, carport. On acreage the buildings nobody lives under go longest without attention and are usually the cheapest to put right, and a second trip out here is a real cost to both of us. Mention everything when you call and it all gets looked at in the same visit, each on its own line with its own photographs and its own price.
- Shade hides a roof's real condition
Under heavy canopy a covering ages more slowly and keeps its appearance far longer, so a roof can present well from the drive while the layer beneath it is finished. That makes appearance an unreliable guide here, and it is why the assessment comes from lifting covering at several points rather than from how the roof looks from the ground.

Who repairs roof leaks in Jupiter Farms, FL?
Molsbee Roofing. A family business since 1975, based in Lake Worth Beach, licensed CCC1327429, working Palm Beach County from Jupiter to Boca Raton. We work in 33478 on houses, barns, workshops and outbuildings. A roofer clears and tests the drainage, traces the water to where it enters, photographs it and prices the repair in writing. Free inspections. Call 561-318-8624.
My roof leaked but nothing looks broken. How?
Because the roof could not move the water fast enough rather than because anything failed. A valley packed with pine needles or a blocked porch outlet backs water up until it reaches a lap that was never designed to be underwater. Everything on the roof is intact and the leak is completely real. Clearing and testing the drainage fixes it, and keeping it clear under this much planting is what stops it returning.
A branch came down and I cleared it. Should I still get it checked?
Yes, and specifically at that spot. Removing the branch removes the evidence, not the damage. Impact cracks the covering it strikes and passes the rest of the force into the layer beneath, which can be torn with nothing visible once a replacement piece is in place. The roofer looks at that area deliberately, lifts the covering and photographs what is underneath, which is the only way to know whether it was a near miss.
Will you look at the barn as well?
Yes, and please mention it when you call. On acreage the outbuildings go longest without anybody checking them because nobody lives underneath, and they are simple roofs, so faults found early are inexpensive. It also saves a second trip, which out here is a real cost. Each structure is assessed, photographed and priced on its own line so you can decide the order of work.
How much does a repair cost?
Far less than a replacement, and a good deal of what we find on these lots is drainage rather than damage, which is the cheapest work there is. Where something has actually failed, a collar, a run of flashing or a valley rebuilt is still a short visit. The inspection is free, the photographs come with it, and the price is written down before anything starts.
