Jupiter sits where the Loxahatchee River meets the Atlantic at the inlet, so a roof near the inlet, on the Intracoastal or along the beach takes salt air from the river side and the ocean side. For those homes we specify the panel coating, the edge metal, the clips and the fasteners as one compatible set, because a bare cut edge or a mismatched screw is where rust starts.
A sheltered street in Abacoa or out in Jupiter Farms can use a different specification. Both get written down, so you know which metal you are buying and why it was chosen for your exposure.

Yes, if the metal is specified for salt. The panels, the coating, the edge metal and every fastener need to be compatible with each other and with the exposure, or corrosion starts at the first cut edge.
Near the inlet, the Intracoastal and the beach that specification is different from what an inland street needs. A metal roof done that way holds up well on the water; done carelessly it rusts from the details outward.
