My roof still looks good. Does that mean it is fine?

A branch came down last year and I cleared it. Should I still get it looked at?
Yes, and specifically at that spot. Removing the branch removes the evidence, not the damage. Impact cracks the covering it strikes and passes the rest of the force into the layer beneath, which can be torn with nothing visible once a replacement piece is in place. The roofer will look at that area deliberately, lift the covering and photograph what is underneath, which is the only way to know whether it was a near miss or a slow leak.
What happens if you find something?
