    Where the Town says yes to metal, and where it does not

    The architectural commission reviews everything visible from the street, and on the traditional clay-barrel blocks metal on a main roof is usually refused.     Coated steel is a fine roof in Wellington. On a barrier island with salt on both sides its cut edges and fasteners streak within a few seasons.
