The middle price of a full roof replacement in Greenacres ran higher than in any other town we priced last year, and here is the range from our own signed jobs. Full re-roofs here came in between about $16,700 and $48,800, and the middle of the pack was around $34,800.

The number is high because of the jobs, not the rate: whole-house replacements on block ranches and larger homes with an upper floor from the late 1980s and early 1990s, with almost no small partial jobs to pull the middle down. Most came by referral along the same streets, several on Indian Forest Circle alone and more on Marbletree Lane, Hendry Drive, Barton Creek Circle and Canal Drive.
The city grew from a village into a city of ranches and villas between 1970 and 1990, so many of its first roofs are wearing out together. The city sits inland in the 160 mph wind band and the wind-borne debris region; the code sets secondary water barrier requirements on a re-roof, and we specify a self-adhered one.
