    Commercial roofing in Boynton Beach

Boynton Beach's commercial roofs follow its roads. Federal Highway carries the older plazas, auto and service businesses and the downtown blocks around Ocean Avenue and the marina; Boynton Beach Boulevard and Woolbright Road carry the medical, office and retail buildings that fill in toward the interstate; Congress Avenue carries the mall district and its outparcels; and along the Intracoastal in 33435 the condominium buildings near the Inlet, the marina and the waterfront restaurants take salt on every drain and length of edge metal. Nearly all of it sits under flat or low-slope roofs in TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen or older built-up systems installed in the same growth years and aging together, and a flat roof does not shed water; it holds it, and a ponding spot, a split seam or a clogged drain becomes a tenant's ceiling stain before anyone sees a drip. The association buildings add boards, reserve studies, property managers, and for the older three-story-plus buildings the state's milestone-inspection requirements. Molsbee Roofing has been a family business since 1975, based a few minutes up the road in Lake Worth Beach and working Palm Beach County, Jupiter to Boca Raton, and we have done about a dozen roofs in Boynton since spring. We re-roof and repair plazas, offices, medical buildings, restaurants, warehouses, churches and association buildings across the city in TPO, EPDM, modified bitumen and silicone coating, with rebuilt drains, stainless edge metal along the water and tapered insulation where ponding has been the problem, and we handle the Spanish tile and metal on the community buildings that carry them. Whether the client is a plaza owner on Congress Avenue, a property manager with three roofs on Federal or a condominium board by the Inlet, the paperwork is the same: a survey with photographs, an itemized scope and price, a staging plan that keeps the doors open and the units dry, and a City of Boynton Beach permit. Sections are torn off and re-covered inside a working day so nothing sits exposed overnight, and each phase is photographed for the owner's file. Free roof inspections for owners and associations; a maintenance program for roofs with years still in them. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 561-318-8624.

    Our work here

about a dozen roofs in Boynton Beach (east) since March 2026

    What it costs

Commercial roofs price by the square and the system: a TPO re-cover at one end, a full tear-off with tapered insulation at the other. Size, penetrations, drainage and deck condition move it.

TPO, EPDM or modified bitumen for a Boynton plaza

TPO single-ply is the workhorse along Federal, Congress and Boynton Beach Boulevard: heat-welded seams, a reflective white surface over air-conditioned space, and a re-cover option where the existing roof and deck allow. EPDM, the black rubber membrane Boynton owners still ask for by name, suits some existing roofs and repairs well with its own system. Modified bitumen suits roofs with heavy equipment traffic and many penetrations, common on restaurants and medical buildings. The survey decides, not the sales sheet.

The marina, the waterfront restaurants and the Inlet condominiums

Along the Intracoastal the roofs fail at the metal first: corroded drains and scuppers, rusted edge metal, pitch pockets eaten around equipment. Rebuilt drainage, stainless edge metal and tapered insulation are the specification before any membrane. The condominium buildings near the Inlet add board process: a written survey with photographs, a scope by phase, a price per phase, a schedule residents can plan around, and the milestone-inspection and reserve-study questions answered in writing for the file.

Re-roofing a Boynton plaza without closing the tenants

A plaza on Congress Avenue or a medical building on Woolbright Road cannot close for a roof. We stage by section, tear off and install new membrane the day a section is opened, protect rooftop equipment, plan the crane or hoist so parking stays usable and entrances stay clear, and give tenants notice before noisy phases. Work over occupied medical suites is scheduled around their hours where possible. The property manager gets a daily photo log so nobody has to climb a ladder to know where things stand.

A maintenance visit costs less than a ceiling

Flat roofs on Boynton plazas rarely fail in one dramatic afternoon. They fail at a drain nobody cleared before the rainy season, a seam nobody walked after the last storm, a pitch pocket that cracked around a condenser two summers back. Two roofer visits a year plus one after any major storm, clearing drains and scuppers, resealing penetrations, welding seams, checking edge metal for corrosion near the Inlet and photographing everything for the owner's file, is cheaper than one tenant's ceiling and it turns replacement into a budgeted year rather than an emergency.
